Why use The Dance Register
The Dance Register is the first register of its kind, set-up by the Dance Training & Accreditation Partnership (DTAP) to help people from across the UK find suitably qualified and/or experienced dance teachers in their area. The Dance Register focuses on dance professionals who teach and lead dance.
All dance teachers listed on The Dance Register have completed an application process and passed a set of Minimum Entry Requirements in order to join. They have also agreed to work to The Dance Register Code of Professional Conduct, which sets out the key elements of best practice for teaching and leading dance. This means that when you choose a dance teacher from The Dance Register you can be confident that they are concerned about the quality of their teaching and leading, work within a professional framework, and adhere to widely recognised benchmarks of good dance practice. The Dance Register provides quality assurance for anyone looking for a dance teacher in the UK.
The Dance Register launched on 8 March 2013. Several hundred dance teachers are already listed on the website, but it should be noted that the database is not exhaustive and includes only those dance teachers who have already completed our application process. If you cannot find a suitable dance teacher in your area, please contact our Gateway Organisations.
